A 60-minute beginner-only yoga and pilates class in central Kyiv. Twelve mats, one teacher, and nothing you are expected to already know.
Your first 60 minutes
A beginner class at our Kyiv studio lasts 60 minutes, is capped at 12 people, and asks nothing of you beforehand. Here is the whole hour in the order it happens.
You take off your shoes, drop your bag in a locker, and the teacher meets you at your mat. Mats, blocks, straps and blankets are already laid out, so you can sit down and breathe while the room fills.
You stay on your back. Four counts in through the nose, six counts out. The teacher names where to feel the movement, and nobody is asked to hold anything yet.
Eight slow movements, repeated twice so you are never guessing. Cat and cow, a half forward fold, a seated twist, a supported bridge. Every transition is counted out loud.
You come to standing with a chair and a wall within reach. Small balances, wide-legged shifts, shoulder openers. If balance wobbles today, the chair is simply part of the pose.
Legs up the wall, a reclined twist, a long exhale. No pose is held longer than five breaths, and you can come out of any of them at any point without explaining why.
The last two minutes are yours for questions. The teacher repeats the three movements worth practising at home and tells you which class on the timetable fits the level you just finished.
Every pose in the beginner class has a published alternative. Pick the limit that matches your body and read exactly what your instructor will cue during the 60 minutes.
Adjusted movement: Fold forward from the hips with the knees bent, so the spine stays long and the reach stops at the shins.
Prop provided: Two stacked cork blocks under each hand.
Instructor cue: Hinge from the hips, keep the belly soft, and stop where your breath stays easy.
Every class below is beginner-only, runs 60 minutes, and is capped at 12 mats. No experience needed, no prior stretching required.

These are the questions asked in nearly every first class at the studio on 15 Bohdana Khmelnytskoho St, Kyiv. If yours is missing, write to contact@certvaultra.com and we reply the same day.
No. The studio keeps 14 mats, blocks, straps and two blankets on the shelf, wiped down after every class. Bring your own if you prefer the same surface each week, plus a small towel if you sweat easily. All classes are barefoot.
Stretchy trousers or leggings and a fitted t-shirt. Nothing loose around the ankles. Shoes stay on the entry bench. A light layer helps during the first ten minutes while the body warms up.
Class starts on the hour. The door on Bohdana Khmelnytskoho St stays open for five minutes after that, and the teacher points you to a mat at the back. Later than that, write to contact@certvaultra.com and we move you to another slot at no cost.
Yes. Three evening classes each week are taught in English by Olena Kravets. The rest run in Ukrainian. Mention your preference when you book and the teacher cues in that language for the whole room.
Nothing in a beginner class asks for it. Tight hamstrings get a strap and a bent knee, wrists get a folded blanket under the palm. There are no long holds, so you can leave a shape at any moment without explaining why.
Write to the studio on Bohdana Khmelnytskoho St in Kyiv. We answer questions about the 60-minute beginner class, what to wear, and the modifications we publish for tight hamstrings, sensitive wrists, pregnancy and back care. First class 250 UAH. Groups are capped at 12 people.
